Another Happy Grom!

Why are we in Morocco? i hope i'm sincere when i say this, but it 's not just about makeing money, surfing uncrowded, and amazing waves! We came almost 6 years ago to bless those around us who literally have nothing. We are located next to some of the best surf in the country. The town we live in is a poor farming community that thrives on tourasim 70% of the year.  Over the past few years we have made it our goal to help some of the local families. We dont have much to give but some food here and there and a couple boards a year to the little kids that surf at our local beach is a start.

Check out the pic below. When i came here in 2008 this boy was always at the shop asking to use an old surf boaard that was part of the landscape when you come into our shop. The board had more water in it than foam at the time, but he didnt seem to care. Over time we built a relationship with him and would let him use some of the better boards we would use for our surf school. This past summer i was looking through some of our  blanks and came across a board that i thought would be perfect for this kid. I finaly finished it about 3 weeks ago and showed him. The picture doesnt do justice, he was grinning from ear to ear. After giving him the board i walked away and was reminded thats why we are here! We at Kai shapes/surfinginmorocco are blessed to be a blessing to others. As soon as we think we made this all happen on our own doing and hard work, we've missed it. May we never forget that. With that being said i do need to remind you if your thinking of coming on a surf trip and want to surf places like Safi, Agadir, and everywhere in between, look us up we would be more than happy to get you on some of the best waves this country has to offer.
