Favorite board: 

It's called the "fatter/faster than normal round tail. It's similar to Timmy Curran's "Dove Tail", but I've added much more in the tail and overall volume. 6'0" x 19" x 2 1/2. Rounder than normal tail, it's a quad, and not that much rocker. I've surfed this board in 3' overhead glass (Safi, Morocco) and knee high junk (Lake Michigan). Love it!

I learned how to surf on Lake Michigan. Yes, on a lake. Even though the season is short, I learned the basics which enabled me to pick up surfing much quicker when I moved to North Carolina. Shaping is something I've always wanted to do, but living where I did didn't provide opportunities to shape. After visiting Morocco 5 years ago, I met Gabe (my partner). The rest is history. I bought into Kai Shapes two years ago and love shaping and surfing in an area blessed with some of the best waves in the world!
