Horns of a Dilemma.

Before i get started i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Happy New Year, and 3 Kings Day! And thanks for all of you who bought a board/boards from us this last year! It was a tough year but we made it and are looking at a great 2012.

Ernest Hemingway.

With age comes wisdom, usually. As is this case it does. Ive gotten to know on old local and his  son over the last year or so. SInce living in Dar Bouazza Morocco i have gotten to know a lot of locals. Some i have great relationships with and others not so great. But with one particular guy (pictured below with his son) ive really gotten to know well. While sitting in the lineup one day out by my house it was just this older man and i and we bgan to talk. After listnening to him for some time i really didnt care about the waves, i just enjoyed listening to his stories.

The Burly!

Well, it's done! I can see why shapers don't make more of these types of boards. When finished it's beautiful, but it does take some time to get it finished plus a ton of patience. I got the idea off a frined of mine (Justin) who makes great boards from Michigan, yes Michigan. He's been shaping for about 6 yrs and he knows what he's doing. If your intrested check out his page at burly boards. The board i did was a 5'8" x 21" x 2 3/4" double concave, twin fin, with VERY little rocker. I havn't used it because i need to sell it.

Much needed REST!

Sorry for the lapse with blogs! As stated in the heading, i was away getting some much needed REST! Its been almost 1 1/2 years since ive taken extended time off from the shop. Over that time much has happend, i stress the word much. Although some of the things that have happed have been for the better there has been plenty of negative things as well. But if your a bit older and into your 30's you know as well as i do its usually the difficult times and stressful moments that makes us stronger and a better person.

Another Happy Grom!

Why are we in Morocco? i hope i'm sincere when i say this, but it 's not just about makeing money, surfing uncrowded, and amazing waves! We came almost 6 years ago to bless those around us who literally have nothing. We are located next to some of the best surf in the country. The town we live in is a poor farming community that thrives on tourasim 70% of the year.  Over the past few years we have made it our goal to help some of the local families.
